Top of my head? No. At home, maybe. I might have documented what I did to wire mine up. The only issue with what I did is I didn't use the locker ECU crap. I just wired from the locker to the switch. There is no vacuum, BTW. It's a breather. Are you using the factory harness?

You can easily use 6 conductor trailer wiring to make a harness. All the information you need should be in these two threads:

I was wiring up two TRD elockers and using an 80 elocker ECU and switch. It should even be easier if you are using Land Cruiser lockers.

I e-mailed 12voltguy and asked him if he has a kit to wire landcruiser e-lockers like his dual TRD set up he said "[they are the] same lockers
just check plugs & see my site on how to id plug style
& if you need a custom sized panel not listed let me know.

lead time aprox 1-2 weeks right now"

TRD lockers and landcruiser e-lockers are the same locker? just different plugs?

No, they are not the same, but controlling them is the same.

The front LC lockers are 8" and ARE the same(low pinion's are identical and the high pinion front lockers from LCs are just high pinion, but the same and the only place to get them).
The rear lockers are 9.5" and are different.

Agree with above post except I think you will find the wire colors are different front and rear betweeen the LC and the TRD (they are even different between the early LC's and the later models). However, same number of wires, same function, etc.

Hi all, I know this is an old thread now but wiring of the factory Toyota E-Lockers is something i have recently had to do after purchasing a set for my non locked 80. I originally wanted to use the factory ECU but i couldn't find where to plug it in. Prob the only HDJ80 in OZ missing that piece of the loom!
I wanted to use the factory switch and keep the who job as simple as possible so the attached is what i came up with. I believe it is a lot neater than the other wiring attempts I have found on various sites.
I haven't completed the job yet but i have tested this schematic with my actuators and its works perfectly. :)
Will add some photos of the completed job once finished, should look pretty neat.
Ah yeah probably should thank Birfmark for his EWD as it helped plenty!

Nice job on the schematic. If you wanted (or still want) to use the factory ECU, you don't have to plug it in. All you need to do is mount it and pull in a few amps of power. Of course it's easier if you at least have a pigtail to work with with the factory ECU plug on one end.

I would certainly use the factory ECU if I had one available.

hi all, I bought a elock for my toyota serie 71. My case is not different than yours, my car is a 71 non locket, i couldn’t find de ECU also, and i want to use the original switch. Reading the post i found the ppetersen post were he give an alternative wire connection. My question is. What color wire is for Motor 1(To lock) Motor 2(Unlock), lock limit, unlock limit.

Ppeterson, could you finally finish the job in your 80?

I apologize if my redaction i not the best, but I’m from Venezuela.

Since this is such a great thread, I thought I'd just post up a related locker/ECU question I have....

Does anybody know if the pin-out for a 24V Land Cruiser locker ECU is the same pin-out as a 12v? I would think it would be, but I would like to be sure... Anybody have access to an EWD for a 24V truck and would like to compare?

I'm going to be wiring up some 24V e-lockers + 24V ECU in my 24V BJ74, and yes, I'm going the ECU and factory Toyota "rotary" style RR/FR switch.
