Elections & December Meeting (1 Viewer)

Since we are postponing our normal Christmas Party/December Meeting into January we WILL be having a club meeting on Wednesday December 9 in Ashland.

Between now and then, we need nominations for the executive committee as the vote will be at the December meeting. We will set up some sort of proxy for the slackers who can't make it. Our current EC is:

President: John E
Vice President: Rob M
Secretary: Tim M
Treasurer: Dwight A

All positions are open for nomination. We must elect a different secretary this year as I've held the position for the past 2 years (actually 3 of the last 4), and I conveniently ignored Cam trying to change the bylaws tonight.

Why don't we try to have nominations posted here by December 6th. I'll summarize into some sort of ballot. We will need all proxy votes to a TBD member NLT December 8.

Yes, that would be quite nice. I've learned a lot about elections here - could you also post the dimensions of the ballot box? I need to ensure that my 5,000 votes for T3 for Sec will fit...

I assume all nominated can/will serve, even though only Rob & Cam confirmed. If that is not the case, we will have to consult Mr. Powers on how to properly run an election. I think AK-47s are involved, right? (And no William Tecumseh Sherman quotes canidate Bloo )

Since John E is currently on the EC and is not nominated for 2010 office, why don't we send absentee ballots to him via PM NLT 5PM on Wednesday December 9. (If this is too complicated, just show up to the meeting and vote!)
