Eldo Caliper Hard Line Connection

I'm using 2 crush washers, checked the mating surfaces & I'm getting a small leak on one side of each caliper. I even cranked down on the bolt heads. I've heard you want a flex hose to the caliper, but the mounting would be the same regardless. I also wrapped the bolts with teflon tape, not sure if that'll help. Is there a better way to mount this:

are the holes in the line coming in and the holes on the bolt lining up? seems like if they aren't you could have a leak. and the teflon isn't doing anything accept putting crap into your caliper, or if theres enough on there it could be blocking pressure to the caliper and thus making the leak.

Well, if I was Superman I could use my X ray vision to see inside the fitting if the flares are 100% connected - dunno. I'm gonna crank down a little more on the fitting bolts to get it seated more. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Hamma, how do you plan to remove the calipers for maintenance and such? The front brakeline from an '87 Astro Van is pretty short, and matches the fittings perfectly. They're also pretty cheap IIRC, around $8. HTH

I'm using a rubber line. Matted to a hardline that is Metric one end(stock) and SAE the other (for GM).

The Caddy calipers are sliding, not fixed. They move every time you use them. You should be using brake hoses to the lines.

I have heard that teflon is bad on brake lines. I think in one of Morgan Fletchers write ups he found that out the hard way..
