As they are age, our loved ones are not to be forgotten. They are to be cared for with lots of grace, a tender touch, and a handy Toyota parts catalog!

Brought this old girl home today: June 1969 build date. Much, much work to be done, but excited for the build/restoration.

Congrats! I am such a sucker for a project, so I appreciate you pouring a little more life into the ole girl.

I thought you were talking about me...look forward to the project and upgrades.

Did you have to wait until dark to sneak it into your neighborhood? Twenty years ago I got away with this in our HOA community up north. Things change and today they would tar and feather then carry me away on a rail.

Did it come with side doors? Careful with the track for the fiberglass cap as well as the door headers. What use to be consider trash now cost to replace.

John, I got half and full SOR soft doors, and the full hard doors. I got some of a hard top: sides and rear… but the fiberglass top surrendered to heavy snows one or two winters ago. The rest of the top seems salvageable.

Thankfully no HOA at our new digs… just not enough driveway space!

Going to try and carry this on via a build thread in the 40/55 section, but will try to update here as well.
