EGR VSV replace one or both?

Did a search and found great info. I was going to replace one recommended EGR VSV. The dealer stated that there are two. Best to replace both? The part number for the vsv that I found in the search was 90910-12079. That is the vsv #2. VSV #1 part number is 90910-12043. Is this correct?

I'd just do the VSV for EGR 90910-12079 unless you have some specific reason to believe the other one is bad.

What lead you to believe the VSV was bad? P0401?

94 FJ80. Junk, Only the 12079 in a search. Dealer stated that there was two. I figured that if I was already greasy, do both. I have not tested either one. Just want all parts in hand that I will need before starting. The nearest dealer is 120 miles. I will get just the one. Thanks
