I have not had my truck for long decided I'd better check issues I found in the faq, I searched the faq and found that the modulator was the first place to check.

I have a blue top Modulator and opened it up to check the filter, here is what I found. It looks fine to me but as I have never seen one before I thought I'd better ask:

This caught my eye, I was looking at the heater and vacuum hoses and they all seem in very good condition, are the hose clamps on the heater hoses oem?

Not to sure myself on the EGR.I keep getting the EGR check code so i need to start investigating. The Clamps are factory on your hoses.

I'm going to be diving into EGR issues/codes soon. I know I have the original modulator and VSV.

Can you look at your filter & tell me if it looks better/worse than mine? Anyone have a new one to compare mine to?

I have the older green top, your filter looks a little cleaner. I have the same "black oil dot" on the bottom.

Thanks
