My local shop blocked off my EGR pipe connection with a big steel plate several months ago because everytime they replaced the pipe, the flange would distort and I'd get an exhaust leak. My question is, what else would they have done to the rest of the EGR system? I mean, at that point, there's essentially no more EGR system. Does anything else have to be changed\modified when this is done? I have the manuals and I plan to ask the shop directly this week, but wanted to get thinking about it earlier by asking the board. The emissions system is still something I have not wrapped my head around.
