After some intermittent starting problems over the last week I dug into the issue today and found this.

Several starter related threads make mention of intermittent continuity in the efi fuse. Mine is clearly having some trouble. Anybody with a similar experience have advice on what the cause is? Am I headed for a new fuse block?

Thanks in advance.

I second @ejbea_7 last winter I had issues starting. One "lucky" night while looking around the fuse block I tapped (by mistake) the starter relay and I heard it click. Replaced the next day and haven't had any issue ever since. I say replace from least $ to more $$$$. The relay sells for $98 around here (DFW Lexus I went to Toyota but they were sold out at the time). I would imagine a fuse block is way more expensive and you would need to replace components anyway, would be ill advised to get the block and replace your old components into it.

I will certainly replace the relay and maybe pick up a spare for the kit. I wasn't going to just go and replace the block, but wondered if it might be responsible for the problem. I've checked all the grounds and battery connections and everything looks good. Glad it turned out to be an easy fix.

Just realized that both of you guys mentioned replacing the starter relay. Would it not make sense that the efi fuse is getting cooked due to a fault in the efi/ecd relay? That is the one that I was planning to replace.
