In the midst of doing a stereo and CB install in my 62, putting the CB in the dash hole with the single DIN head unit to replace the 2 DIN stocker. That project has not worked out as hoped and I will probably take it back out to rework the brackets to better satisfy my desires . Since I finally decided to upgrade my stereo, I figured the old paper cone stock speakers surely wouldn't be up to par, so I picked up a matching set of Kickers. DS650's for the rear, and DS5250's for the front. I'm not going for a crazy, competition worthy system, just want something that sounds good and clean, and that I can add to later if I want. Neither speaker will fit exactly without a little shimming or modifying, but that was to be expected. Today however I was looking on the Crutchfield site, and they have some nice looking Eclipses at blowout prices, SE6500's for the rear, and SE5000's for the front, and to make it more tempting, is, according to Crutchfield, the rears will drop right in. I could return the Kickers and order the Eclipses, and end up about 30 bucks ahead, but have to wait another week to get them, or just run the Kickers that I already bought, and already bought spacers for the rear.

Eclipse Vs. Kicker - Who wins?
