Ebay Steering Wheel Alignment Spline Help

I'm trying to install the Ebay steering wheel in my 2000 TLC, but can't get it aligned with the marks I made. When I can get the splines to line up and go on, it ends up a little too far left or too far right. In other words, I can't adjust the alignment one spline at a time. The original steering wheel will go on and I can move it one spline at a time, but not this new one. Any suggestions?

Is it something you can accommodate with steering alignment or vgrs adjustment?

Probably. I was just hoping there was maybe something I overlooked and could take care of it with the wheel since I already have it torn apart.
