I am listing here all that I know about this vehicle, and I don't know much about FJ's, so ask and I will try find the answer your questions. This looks to be a very nice vehicle, a lot of $$$ has been spent on it! Check out my 100% feedback and my honest assessment of this vehicle below: This is a nice condition, tough looking FJ55 Land Cruiser. The old I6 engine has been replaced with a smooth running Chevy V8 and Chevy auto transmission (350/350 combo I think). Although it has been parked for a long time and is not current with it's tag, it has been through Arizona emissions with this engine replacement and registered for normal use in Arizona. I dove this truck a few weeks ago on a dirt logging control road and it took the bumps and road great. I was impressed at the smoothness over bumps and washboard. This truck has been in Arizona a long time. I am not sure if it is original to Arizona or not. 1979 was the last year FJ55's were imported into the USA, and from sources on the Internet, only as few as 250 were imported in 1979! Being from AZ, I didn't see any noticeable rust spots like you do from snow/ice states, fenders look and sound solid. I took some hi-res photos for you to get a good look at and see for yourself what a good solid rig this is. Features: -Box full of records and receipts - a log book going back to 1993 with details such as maintenance history and helpful NAPA replacement part numbers for many things on the truck. -Almost brand new tires. New one year ago, but parked for the most part since new. Maybe a few hundred miles on them? Lots of tread left. -Bumper mounted winch with remote control. -Chevy V8 350/350 Trans combo. Runs very nice. Several thousand dollars were spent in the last year in tune up, tires, interior, etc. The way it is setup, seems to be very reliable way to go. -It has Air Conditioning that works! -Custom radiator -Starts, runs, rides and stops good. Idles smooth, does not smoke. -Red Top dry cell battery -Interior is very clean. Carpet looks new. Seats are in great shape. -Nice radio with remote control -Two spare tires -Looks to have a very large custom gas tank -Exterior is in pretty good condition for an old wheeler like this. It does have door chips, etc. Paint is in OK condition, but has aged. Not sure how long ago it was painted. -Underside looks clean -Glass appears to be in okay condition for its age (Windshield has one crack on passenger side) -Have clean AZ title in hand Things I noted that are not perfect since it has been here at my house: -Rear window roll up motor is weak, sometimes have to help the window up by hand. -Hood has a small damage spot as seen in photos, possibly from a battery exploding. -Power Steering does leak a tiny drop if parked overnight. Engine/Trans appear to not drip any oil! -Paint is aged, but it is white and still looks good. There are some spots that have signs of age and use. That is it, everything else is really good for this age and type of truck! This has been parked in storage for a long time. It just needs a new owner that will drive it!
