Trying to sort out why my wipers stopped parking on 65 FJ45. I'm familiar with the kooky park tabs on my 73 but these early wipers are not my forte.

Is there a mechanism inside? I pulled the covers and the rubber sleeve that goes over the electrical connectors but don't see anything obvious.

There's power to the + all the time and power to the park wire when the switch is on.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

What are doing? I had them stop where they were when the switch turned off. Also had one not want to stop after the switch was turned off.

Hi John-

They used to park at the edge of the passenger side of the window. Now they only stop right where I turn the switch off. As you know, they're independent of each other so it's a timing thing to get both of them to stop out of the view of the driver.

It rained here for the first time in about 8 years yesterday.

If your saying both starting doing it the same time I would make sure one of the terminals on each wiper has twelve volts when the key is on and wiper switch is off. The wire that feeds the twelve volts to wiper motors comes from the back of the wiper switch. The hole for this wire on the switch has oblong hole on terminal and should have two wires.
