Hey All,

50 years of abuse is coming to surface as my 40 goes under the sandpaper spa treatment.

I'm in search of reputable steel parts. It appears RealSteel (realsteelcruiserparts.net/) may be out of business due to lack of responsiveness.

I'm in search of the following parts for 1967 FJ40:
  • barn door (the passenger has lots of rust today but would take a pair)
  • driver rocker panel
  • rear sill
  • door patches or doors for driver and passenger (lots of rust at bottom today)
Any guidance to sourcing these parts is appreciated!

I'm still undecided on the final color. I love Spring Green but has found several examples that look too 'Minty'. I am also considering applying Heritage Blue from the 2014 FJ cruiser.

Here's progress so far:

For those that are looking for similar hardware, I've had a bit of luck and will share:

  • Barn doors acquired from a fellow iH8mud inmate
  • CruiserCorps was the site that I found outer rocker panel. This site was one of few that included the door lip
  • Rear sill was sourced from Cool Cruisers of Texas - one of the few vendors that were detailed enough in products that they differentiated the rear sill by model and even tire swing out. This made me confident that the right part was ordered
  • Due to age of the cruiser, door patch kits aren't readily available. I was able to acquire new door bottoms from Classic Cruisers in colorado. They specialize in the older cruisers.
Like a village, it took 4 different vendors to get the parts. I'll know if I made the right choices in the next couple weeks as hardware arrives.

I just bought something from them and they were responsive. Took a day or two but they got back to me and shipped my item with no problems. Just a heads up.
