Eagle Ridge Cleanup, no date yet.

4WDABC is continuing to lobby the City of Coquitlam for sanctioned access to the trail system at Eagle Ridge. One area where we can show 4WD’ers respect and responsibility is in cleanup events.

Coquitlam Crawlers are very interested in leading a cleanup event. I suspect that the Coastal Cruisers would also be very interested, perhaps as co-leaders, so that more than one cleanup can take place at Eagle this summer.

So, who is interested?

Monthly would be great, but unlikely. I would think this would, or could, be an annual event. The logistics trying to get donors (garbage collection, volunteers, etc) would be too great for a monthly event.
But just "doing your part" every trip up there by all parties involved would of course help immensely, but does not generate the media coverage/good guy image of course.

Well, June 20 is out as a date. It is too soon after Stave and organization of a second event would be to much.

So, what do people think of July 18? One week after Cruiser Days and one week before the Chilco trip.

This is the thread on a cleanup at Eagle Ridge from BC4x4

I have not read through it all, and have no idea if it has anything to do with the planned 4WDABC cleanup there.

The date for this looks to be tomorrow (Saturday the 13th) 9 am start.
