E rated tire equal rough ride?

So I finally went to the OME suspension on my 06 LX with 18" factory wheels. Now comes the process of tire selection. I've searched and searched online. Without going to an E rated tire I'm stuck with a 275/70 18 c rated all terrain - not even many options there either.
Will the E tire suck the life out of my LX? Any suggestions? This is my Daily and a few trips a year camping rig.

If you run 30-35 psi you will be fine.

I went from"D" rated tires to "E" rated tires on my '01 and I did notice a difference. at times I wanted to go back to "D" rated tires but there are so many advantages to "E" rated tires. Its not terrible by any means.

Ride and fuel economy will suffer based on weight of tires. Only buy if you need the sidewall thickness and weight rating.
