agreed, we have been talking about reworking it with either relays or large transistors (need to find out what the current of the motor is)
 
The other thing about toyota computers is that they only put voltage to the motor for a short period of time and when it hits the limit switch it cuts voltalge and the spring then does the work of engaging the lock. I did not see any mention of how the relay is cut out so voltage is not applied for too long. On most 80's with the center diff switch in you can run the lockers engaged. I think this has been discussed here before or on the 80's cool list. later robbie
