E brake handle button...where did it go? (1 Viewer)

Magically the little black button that you depress with your thumb has disappeared on my LX.

What I have now is the handle and I can see a little threaded rod in the center with a spring around it.

I have to pull the E-brake up a bit to be able to reach one of my skinny fingers in enough to push that rod back so I can release the e-brake and put the handle all the way down.

Obviously this is not fun and I'd like to fix it.

Do I need to replace the whole E-brake handle...or is the button replaceable?

I didn't see any screws or anything that would allow me to take the handle section apart....

I'll post pics later if the description is confusing.

Button must have broken and popped out.

The pieces are probably rolling around the floorboards somewhere...

The button screws on, and has come loose once on mine. Look around on the floor and put it back on.

checked.....didn't see it anywhere around the driver's seat or behind it anywhere...

LOL, the guy you're trying to help probably gave up or fixed it 12 years ago, and hasn't been seen on Mud in the last six years.

Or maybe he got trapped inside his rig and mummified in it?
