As a side note, with the LC and LX being so similar you would think it wouldn’t be all that hard to add the components for full speed adaptive cruise to a land cruiser. The parts have to be available somewhere.

The LX 570 does not have full start/stop adaptive cruise either. I think you are confused because the guy you were quoting was not talking about the LX 570.
I just took a screen shot of Lexus website and this is what it says. I am guessing that means it will take you down to a complete stop unlike the Land cruiser which shuts off around 25 mph.
I am 99.999% confident that does not cover the LX. If it does, it makes absolutely no sense why the LC doesn't get it.
I agree, it doesn’t make any sense at all but at the same time should be feasible as a retrofit with the right tech doing the job.

16' and up of the LX have the All-Speed version.
Absolutely ridiculous then. I test drove a couple 16+ LXs and could have sworn it deactivated below like 32 mph but that’s absurd the LX gets it and the LC doesn’t. I’d definitely like that option on the LC.
I realize that it is frustrating when manufacturers/vendors do things like this. But to be honest, it is business. I am sure any of your who work for a company that makes and sells stuff you understand the need to differentiate and justify a higher price tag for what you consider the higher end option. From computer systems to phones to camera gear to pretty much everything. If you want to have two tiers of pricing/product then you have delete some of the nicer features from the 2nd tier model. And we all realize that the LX is not simply an LC with AHC. I'm pretty sure that Toyota/Lexus want to hold some things back from the LC to justify the price of the LX. Its not personal, its just business.
And as for retrofitting, I'll bet it is not simple or cheap. But maybe it is worth it for those of you who need the capability? I could say that I never need or use the DCC in heavy traffic or when commuting. But I don't need to commute any more so my situation isn't relevant.

This is totally true........ One strange thing, when my wife and I were shopping for her new car in early December, we were able to get significantly better deals on the LX versus the LC. We both went in absolutely set on grabbing a new LC, and after visiting 2 Lexus dealers and 3 Toyota dealers, the Lexus dealers were both MUCH more flexible on pricing (I figured it would be the exact opposite). In the end, my wife preferred the LX, so this worked out well for her.
I'm going to be shopping for a new ride for myself in the upcoming months, and hoping I'll be able to find dealers a little more flexible on LC pricing going in to the summer months, as it's pretty much top of my list at this point.
My 2019 LC does not have it. It deactivates at low speeds.
The LX has an electronic parking brake while the LC does not. I believe the electronic parking brake is engaged when the vehicle comes to a full stop while using cruise. I don’t expect to see all speed cruise in the LC until we get an electronic parking brake.
Has there been any sort of update on whether the 19+ LC has all speed CC? Maybe the HE has them?
Nope. Gotta get a Lexus. Yes it’s a bummer but I got over it.
Ah yea. I figured. I have a '22 RAV4. The all speed CC is very nice. But I will admit 95% of my CC use are long trip, highway, above 30mph. If I ever need to come to a complete stop I usually step on the brakes anyways. So it's not a big deal.
My 2020 LX has all speed CC. Honestly, though, I don't use it at low speed. It just isn't that good. It reacts only to the car in front of you, so when you see traffic further ahead slowing down, but the car in front of you doesn't react quickly, you know that the CC is going to react late and have to brake hard.
