Folks
I have a ceiling mounted OEM DVD player for the backseat of my US-based 2004 LC100. The DVD slides into the unit from the rear of the vehicle forward, and is not stuck in there. The DVD will spin and play but will not eject. I can hear the eject motor but the disk won't shoot out.

Anyone know how to get this thing out so I can see if there is something wrong with this DVD or all DVD's? Is there a easy way to dismantle this thing if needed?

Thanks folks

Scott

Try a local car audio shop most are good at retrieving stuck CD's and DVD's.

Should be a very small hole that you can stick a paperclip or other thin wire that trips the eject mechanism,or not. Just guessing.

Those dealer installed DVD players are crap. Do like I did and took mine out and got my kids ipads.

If you are referring to the OEM DVD player in the cargo area that plays on the overhead screen, it's really likely the culprit is a sticky door. When you push the eject button, the door should flip down. A thin, stiff piece of plastic inserted on the upper side of the door and gently prying down when you push the eject button may help it open.

And by the way, your post makes it sound like the DVD in your case goes into the overhead unit. If that's the case, I don't think it's OEM for the '04.

Depending on who made your unit, you may be able to unmount it from the roof and push the disc out through the top, they are not generally sealed from access from top down.
