I just got my LX470 on Tuesday and everything works as it should except for the CD player. I should add that my car came optioned with the headrest DVD monitors so the CD changer in the center console is also the DVD changer. Even if I have no DVDs in the changer, just CDs, and I hit the "disc" button, I'll hear the changer look through the cartridge for a disk and "DVD Error" will flash on the screen.

The cartridge isn't getting stuck in the changer like every other problem I've googled.

I want to hear how NWA sounds on the Mark Levinson system :'(

Welcome to MUD! Are the CD's being inserted into the cartridge with label side facing up? Otherwise sounds like an issue with the mechanism, which probably won't be cheap or easy to fix.

Common terminal problem. Replace it or send in for repair. You can use any year of cd/dvd multi disc unit regardless of part number.

Make sure the cds are inserted in the cassette correctly and there's no debris down in the cd changer to jam things up.

Then, disconnect the battery for 30 min or so and then reconnect. Turn on the power and let the nav/cd screen reboot. The CD player should work correctly then.

I have this problem on my wife's '05 LS430 every other month. Easy fix so I never bothered spending money to replace it.
