OK all you duraback guys out there I'm contmplating doing the floor of the 60 but wondering how it holds up with the daily foot traffic. I know its all about the prep and yes i know to scuff the paint and wipe with xylene yet recently did a work truck utility bed top and its not holding up to good but I must say it really gets abused. So any tricks to putting it on the floor, likekeep it thin/thick or what ever. and are there any good sound deadeners ou there that are cheap that could go under it or jus leave it alone, after all it is just a glorified tank.

thanks all

I did the entire interior of my FJ55 with it. It held up fine, the only place it scuffed was where I gouged it with the seat bracket when putting it back together. We just did an entire FJ40 with Durabak, inside and out, with great results.

You already know that the prep is the important part. I guess I'd say put it on as thick as you like, but go in several coats rather than one thick one.

As for sound deadening, in the 55, the Duraback was better than the bare metal, but the Flowmasters still made the inside reverberate. Look into something like Dynamat or Brownbread if youre looking to quiet the interior noise.
