Used it in several FJ40's in the past. Works as well as any, I sprayed it in with a shutz gun. Not real agressive, smoother finish, you'll need a gallon to do the interior of a 40, in order to get it thick enough. Durable if properly prepped.
How many coats would you say that you used.
I used the Hurculiner on the under side of my 40...Wasnt all too impressed with how the texture blended....
I used Hippo liner on my 60...that stuff was great IMO and id held up great.
Sorry for the Hijack Chris!
The duplicolor is REALLY cheap priced. I was considering that for the 40, but after reading some reviews that I had googled, I opted to do a different route...
Not sure as to what Ill be using on the interior of the tub...interested to see where you go with this!

We have used it as an undercoating on a Jeep we built. Frankly, it sucks. The jeep junk would flake off and rust. Within a year we had to respray the whole underside.
I had an old k-5 blazer that I coated the interior in, and again... It sucks. I sandblasted the whole thing, hit it with a 50grit disc and the s*** flaked off. Even worse, in the front floorboard just along were the exhaust ran it would bubble up. I dont mean like little bubbles but like world record bubble gum bubbles.
Duplicolor customer service is really good though. Both times they sent us 2 free gallons saying 'our bad'...
Two application problems. Once again, I'm not a big fan of the stuff. However, bedliner is not by nature acceptable for an undercoat. Undercoating stays flexible, soft, and tar like. Hence, no flaking or chipping from rocks. Wrong product, in the wrong place. Second, you didn't follow the duplicolor instructions, which call for sanding the existing paint, not sandblasting to bare metal. Apparently it bonds bettter to scored paint. No idea about the bubbles!
