Just got a great offer on my house so I need to start packing during my free time therefore no more crusier tinkering. The house has been for sale since September. We've had a few insultingly low offers and yesterday we got almost the amount we wanted so the struggle is over! :bounce:

I'm moving to Groton, MA near NH (closer to 4X4 trails!) and the new house only has 2 garage spaces and I currently have 6 cars. It's an antique house on Main street that has a very small piece of land. I have 6 acres now so plenty of space to park crusiers but soon I'll have none. The V has gotta go!

$6500 rock bottom, non negotiable but I keep the rims and tires. I have 2 extra sets that I can include one being the original split rims. Just drove it yesterday and it fired right up and drove nicely.

I have a 1982 troopy coming that I'm keeping so I want the rims and tires for that. I can include the white spoke rims and tires off that with the V. I can show pics of those.

A 45 wagon for the price of a beat up 40. I'll regret this for a long time.

Thanks!

Well.. welcome to North Central MA. I live in Pepperell, the next town over. If you need anything, just let me know.

And if it not for the fact that I already own 2 cruisers and the lady of the house has an issue with it, I would adopt that wagon.

was white the original color? details on the truck?

I haven't checked the exact original color but I believe it was all off white originally. It was brought to Australia as a military vehicle in 67 (I'm told). Apparently they didn't bring v-type wagons into Australia for the general public for the 1966 vintage. This is what was told to me by the seller so take it with a grain of salt and I'm just repeating what they said.

It was primer outside when it arrived and off-white inside. I bought it from way far in the outback. The owners owned a gas station in a town of 14 people and they were hours to the next town. They own a tow company and got it from a guy even farther out in trade. I spoke to them back in january and it was 123 degrees Fahrenheit so rainfall was a minimum. It does have some rust/ bondo issues but nothing drastic.

Has an F engine which seems to run very well. Fires right up. 3 speed on the floor. I have a wiring harness that will eventually need to be put in but everything works right now.

Drove it around yesterday and goes great. Fun to drive and dead sexy too.

Sucks to lose money on it but I have a 55, 45 pickup, troopy, and now a diesel Rover coming in the next month and I need room badly.

It'll be great to have another cruiser close by for quick wheeling trips. It's like being on an island down here with no cruisers and no trails to drive them on.

I take it your old lady won't let me stash a half dozen trucks on your lawn for a few months, eh?

I have friends from Pepperell. How old are you and are you from there?

Me? I am old as dirt... well, not that old but I feel like it sometimes, and no, I am originally from NY.

seeing that post is just pure evil. i love that truck... even the white. too bad i have to pay for a wedding this year... drat!

Are you around this Sunday? I'm going to be up in Pembroke this weekend to fire up the 60 and hit the Vineyard. Would love to swing by and take a look at it.

Even though I'm just tire kicking...

Swing on by! I'll PM my address.

Just drove it around for an hour and I'm second guessing the price. Definitely need to sell it anyways. Oh well.

You gotta admit that troopy isn't a bad thing to settle for....

Have you tried the Hi-Tees in Marshfield? I used to 4x4 back there in my younger days. I grew up in Hingham but I live down south now.

Haven't done those. Where do you hop in at? I know they cut across Rte 14 in Duxbury near exit 10. If you could remember the street I'd be happy to get arrested this weekend

" too bad i have to pay for a wedding this year... drat!"

You'll be paying for that alot longer!! : )

that is arguable... what costs more... a wedding or maintaining a 30 yr old cruiser?

I got married in mexico so i can safely say I've spent 10X what my wedding cost on cruisers over the last 3 years.

I've officially sold my house in Duxbury and are putting an offer in for the house in Groton this afternoon. My house was on the market for 9 months and it sold for $75,000 less than where we started at. Brutal. Glad it's done!!
