dual trannies?

Maybe this is a little off the wall...but I remember a post somewhere here that referred to an alaska thing where people run two trannies. I think it was in reference to "tundra buggies" or similar (not a yota tundra, not a cruiser thing either) The idea is to get more low gear choices. Since h42's can be had for pretty cheap, why not run two h42's, instead of a crawlbox? I'm a little confused by all the input/output spline choices, so maybe there's no way this would work. I'd assume you would need an adaptor between the two trannys of course. And, I'd assume the tranny hump would need some "adjustment" for both of them to fit.

Maybe this should go into hardcore, but I'm not hardcore, and those guys scare me!

now i will ask you this if your in 1st / reverse witch way do you go? what about reverse/reverse? I aked the calico kid this when he came up with the idea around a campfire

If you're in first reverse, you go in reverse. If you're in reverse reverse, you go forewards.
