I've run a National Luna setup for 4 or 5 years. It is always reassuring that my accessories (mainly fridge) aren't draining down my starting battery overnight. I bought it for solo trips to some remote spots in Colorado and Utah when I lived there, so it served me well. Not as necessary now that I'm back in Texas. And yes @wngrog, it's in my 80!

The only situation where solar works in my mind is if I was a backpacker and I parked my truck for a couple days and left the fridge on.
When I had my big aluminum trailer I left the ARB in there with a deep cell battery and a solar trickle charger on it.
To charge the battery when going to and from the ride I had a charge wire running through my trailer harness. Simple.
These jump packs though are unreal. You could put 3 of them I. Your vehicle for the cost of a battery and all the controllers.

I have a microstart xp-10, but that's not going to prolong the life of my battery. I'm guessing no one else is running a fridge in their truck 24/7, so I've set up my own pain.

I just run an undersized battery, inefficient Chinese fridge, and a low-amp output alternator (now corrected), so there's that approach too.
I'm running a fridge 24/7, I have my 80, my dodge 2500, and 4runner all hardwired for my fridge. My 80 and 4runner have single batteries and I have never had an issue as long as I keep the fridge at temp and crank the vehicle at least every 24 hours or so, but I have a Li-ion jump pack in each vehicle just incase. My Ram has dual batts from the factory and I've had the fridge run for almost a week without cranking the truck and still had enough juice to crank the engine.
