DTC Code P0441 -Evaporative Emission Control System (1 Viewer)

Hi all. i got a MIL on light on my 99 model landcruiser and i checked with my cheap code scanner, then got the P0441 -Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow.

This started after i have repaired my AC conditioning system.

Has anyone gotten this problem before or has ideas on how it was solve?

please any contribution to solving this is highly appreciated.

Doubt there is any connection to the AC work. Separate systems and even on opposite sides of the engine compartment.

based on my experience it could be the charcoal canister. if you reset the code - does it come back right away? Or after awhile? I beleive it cost around $350 to replace (done under warranty)

Codes cleared and does come back after some drive. maybe i should look for a used charcoal cannister to buy. since the car is a used one. two years driving it now.

Start by checking all the hoses and then the valves on the canister.

In Lagos I would just pay someone to short the wires so it stopped tripping the CEL and remove the canister all together. I assume no draconian emissions tests and that your vehicle polluting a tiny bit more will not send the country into an environmental tailspin.
