DSR - Potluck on Saturday

If the 4Runner is up and running by then...I'd be up for a potluck. Otherwise I doubt I'll make the trip.

I decided to tackle the timing issue on the truck, now it starts, but dies after 20-seconds. I'm currently chasing down several possible causes, most related to all the emissions crap on the engine.

We're in and I think I can say the same for Rob. Do you all want us todo chili again this year? Maybe this time it willfinally be award winning.

I'll fill in some hole in the menu if I'm able to make it. Chili sounds good, especially if the weather is the same as usual.

Note to everyone coming south on 77. Hwy 77 is closed just north of Randolph. You'll need to come across the lake at K-16. The detour will take you that way anyway - just saving you some aggravation.

What emissions crap on the engine...??? (hint-hint) No vacuum tubes = no places for vacuum loss.

So like I should pull stuff like the cruise control (see below) :D I'm catchin' your vibe Chris. I spent the day looking over the engine trying to determine what I can pull out. Way toooo many vacum lines

Cleaned all the plumbing for the EGR and tested the valve as well which is working. So my issues still continues to point at the timing.

I just need to get it back running like it was at F&N for the DSR and then I can dig in and replace the timing chain.

"A fiddler on the roof...sounds crazy no?"
"If I were a rich man...ya da da da da da da da da da"
I always wished I could sing that well.

It's "ya da dee dee dee, ya da dee dee dee da" :D

I'll stick to bridges, you stick to erosion control and erosion control accessories.

I'm not a 100% sure I can make dsr or at least bring the 60...I've discovered a few issues I need to fix before I take it on the road...

ahhh come on matt....the shop is available for your required repairs and jake and i are available to help...if nothing else i am sure jake would let you ride shotgun with him...hell he may even let you drive!

I'm sure my 15 year old daughter would be "thrilled" that a bunch of old guys are chatting up her musical on the internet.

I really enjoyed showing her my clips on youtube (even if they were me stuck). I am trying to convince her I am cool because I made it to youtube before her or her friends.

I am really bumming about DSR. I have seen fiddler and I enjoy the rocks much more. I think I saw my 40 cry the other day.

My parents had the album/original soundtrack from the movie version...

That, and the soundtrack from "Hair".

the rocks will always be there....your daughter won't!...i miss lots of things i want to do but what the heck i will have lots of time once jake leaves....and i am still not used to my daughter being gone off to college...enjoy fiddler!

My plan is to be there Friday night or by Saturday morning at the latest. If I don' t stay Friday I might stay Saturday??? I think that Eric Butler is coming with me...even though his 40 is still in parts (for the last 3 years). He might bring the guy that bought that old 40 I found in MO. New member???? I will know more later and bring what ever is needed if I stay. Craig
P.S. mike are you coming??? bring my parts??? rob??? my cookware?????

So, where are we on the potluck? Sounds like Mike/Peggy/Rob will be providing chili (Peggy - bring me the receipts for the meat and the club will reimburse you).

I'd suggest that the balance of folks bring either a side dish or their favorite garnish for the chili. We won't tell you what to bring, just surprise us!

BYOB(everage).

I'm in for green onions, cheese, and saltines (maybe oyster crackers).

And now for the roll call.

Chris - yes, Shannon/Coop - doubtful. Will be there Friday afternoon.
