My younger son is looking to let his DRZ 400 clone Kawi go for a great price.
He will have it at the Overland Expo for anyone who wants to eyeball it in person.
Cash is best but if you have something like a 280z project he might go for a trade.

Here is his craiglist text and pics....
$3,000 firm

Have your cake and eat it too.

With this moto you can tear up the streets and hop on the trails for a little dirt fun all in the same day.
You have 42 HP to wrangle, easily beating the usual sports car off the line. While being able to maintain 80 mph on the freeway still having plenty of "get up and go" to pass. Not to mention 50 mpg with a large capacity desert tank making fuel stops a few and far between annoyance.

Extras - $700 worth
-Baja Designs Headlight (squadron Pro)
-Baja Designs (dual sport kit) Fender eliminator, low profile signals, etc.
-Seat Concepts
-Lower Links (original Links Included)
-FCR Carb
-Dual Sport Tires
-Airbox opened for Flow
-K&N air filter
-Lithium Ion Battery
-Hot Start Switch
-Manual Cam chain tensioner
-K&N oil Filter (Plus an extra for your next oil change)
-Clark desert tank

Information
Miles: 6,983
Last oil change: 6,500 miles
MPG: 45 on surface streets, 55 on the Highway
Capacity: 4 gal. plus some reserve

Year: 2003
HP: 42 Hp

The klx - 400 is a drz -400 rebranded by kawasaki, sold only through 2001 these are rare gems. Sought out by people who want something a little more unique.

Looks like fun!

Thanks Murf,
He has had a blast with it but being 17 his desires change often.
By the way met a guy who just got an 80 series and I am sending him towards Krystal in your parts department and to the monthy meetings to join this happy family :)

We will have this fun machine at the Overland Expo this weekend if anyone wants to see it in person or better yet, buy and ride at the event :)

Had a DRZ a few years ago. Very fun bike, hated to sell it.

Yeah I know he will wish he didn't sell it down the road....but at 17 he needs to learn that having all the toys comes LATER in life :)
For now to start a new project means letting go of something else!

Bump for my boy...he found a cool 76 280 Z project and would like to convert this moto to cash.
