DRL and the Pin 17 mod

I searched around, but couldn't find a definite answer to my question.

I understand that when you do the Pin 17 modification, you can run your fog lamps with your high beams.

However, since the DRL's are your high beams on lower wattage, does the Pin 17 mod allow you to run your fog lamps in DRL mode? Or when just your parking lamps are on?

Even with the pin 17 mod, my fogs only work when the headlights are on.
