I moved up to VT this month. I want to get some driving lights. I also want to have them so they automatically turn on with my high beems and turn off when the high beems are clicked off.

What do you guys recomend for the lights?

How do I set them up to work the way I want to?

Well, off the top of my head, the easiest way would be to disable the DRL's and then use a relay triggered off the high beams to power your driving lights. If you want to maintain your DRL's, then this is going to require a little more thought...

That sounds fine. I usually run with my headlamps on anyway. how do I go about disabling the drl's and hooking up the driving lights to turn on with high beems

Search "Disable DRL" and you'll find the one wire you need to cut.

Here's a tutorial on how to make the wiring harness for the driving lights. The size of fuse, wires and relay depends on which lights you choose. I would go with weather-resistent relays.

You can also find pre made and custom wiring harnesses here.

I live in N Michigan where there is a large dear/elk herd. I've learned to love Hella Rallye 4000's - the Euro Driving version is the nuts!
