So there has been several posts on this topic already. Here is my experience.
2008 LC200 started having clunk/thunk on acceleration and deceleration at around 52K miles. Looked it up on mud, saw mention of TSB but no definitive resolution. Went to dealership and was given a little bit of a run-around until I demanded that someone look for the TSB and print it off for me. They found it and was smooth sailing from there. It is listed in their database as: T-SB-0117-08 (Driveshaft "Thunk"). Applies to 2008-2010 Land Cruisers that fall under specific VIN productions. The repair is to replace the driveshaft (propeller shaft) assembly. This is covered in the Powertrain Warranty which is only in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Savings to me: $536.56 for parts and $72 for labor.
