Some part of my 1999 driver door window was broken because it started to roll down at a serious angle. I bought a new window regulator thinking that was the problem. In taking the door apart to install the new regulator, I saw that the regulator was fine, but the plastic piece that is glued to the glass and then bolted to the regulator, had broken and was the source of my problem. As I learned in other threads in this forum, that part is not sold separately and only comes with a replacement window. Unfortunately, that glass wasn’t available locally and would have taken several days to arrive.
Dorman makes a generic part #45367

that can be used in a pinch with some minor alteration, as shown in the pictures. Cut a small piece of sheet metal to add the required length. I used the depth of the broken guide as my vertical placement guide and the old regulator as my horizontal guide. To keep my holes (close to) centered, I used a self centering hinge bit. New regulator, old glass, lubed the guide rails with Teflon silicone and all is well.

My turn . Good find.

I bought and tested a few amazon aftermarket clip sets without success (after gluing the OEM together a couple times):

Some listed for:
Toyota Corolla 1999-2012,Toyota Scion XB 2004-2014,Toyota Prius 2001-2003,Toyota Highlander 2001-2007 Toyota SR5 and MK6 2005-2008.
LC100 glass is too thick for these, so no use here.

1988-2015 for Toyota, 2004-2015 for Scion. Also too tight but was able to cut out some ribs to fit the drivers front need... but it broke in a few weeks, I'll call it "Junk".

So for my 4th fix I'm trying hand raised stainless steel... it should work but dang, sure would be nice to find some better options.

I put some cuts of zip tie in as spacers so the metal isn't in direct contact with the glass... now it's either fixed forever or the glass explodes. Lets ride!

Nice work - looks like you'll be good for ever. For me the Dorman generic part #45367 is still going strong in the front passenger window (front/short clip).
