Hello... the driver seat motor that adjust the rear height/level is not working. It has this whirring/buzzing sound. All of the other adjustment functions (driver seat) is working. Is the motor easy to replace? If yes, does the seat have to come out? A million thanks in advance!:)

My '99 FSM doesn't show or describel how to remove the motors...however I would suspect from the pics you will need to remove the seat from the vehicle to access. Hopefully someone else will chime in with direct experience...

Actually I went a little farther in the FSM and found it. You can remove the outer panel (where the seat switches are located) by removing the three bolts from the bottom side and one on the back side...and it looks like you will be able to access the motor.

If you PM me your e-mail address I'll scan the pages in for you...

I've have this exact same problem with my '99 LC. The dealership quoted me around $900 for parts/labor. I decided I'd deal with it. Luckily it's in a position I find comfortable. Not so lucky for anyone else! Let me know if you find a way to manually fix this. I've just never really tried.

I know when I had electrical seat issues on my 99 Camry the dealer just installed a whole new seat under warranty. List was $1600.

Good luck. Please document for the board any repair you do.
