I think this is my first tech question
.
Background
Have swaped out a factory 70 series rear cable locked diff from my 47 Troopy to my BJ73. Had to change spring perches. Unfortunately could not locate my angle finder to set pinion flange angle so stupidly used a level on drive shaft to set angle.(Previously having marked bubble on level in measuring driveshat angle before removing old diff
) Welded spring perches in took it for a drive felt slight vibration when accelerating at about 50k then goes away.
Remedy
Going to shim diff.
Question
Have now located angle finder
can I measure the angles using the face of the pinion flange and the face of the output flange off the transfer case.
Bit long winded
