The driprail pieces CCoT offer are a MAJOR hassle to install or expensive if you are paying someone else due to the time involved. Then there is the rivet issue that all automotive and most HD truck places will look at and say "how the &*ck do you expect me to instal those". I would be very curious as to how many of those they sell in a year and even more interested in those that they do sell how many actually get installed. To go one more, how many that are installed look any where close to OE and not some beatup mess. I can't believe there is anyone stupid enough out there (but me of course) to try to do this.

If I ever have to go that route again I will search high and low for another hardtop or top piece only that will not require this work.

i have a fiberglass top section in denver if you need...make me an offer, i don't have a top for it anyway, since my two hardtops are the corrugated ones.

Don't hold back dgangle...tell us how you really feel !!!

I used the kit from ccot, it was alright. I had to make it fit. but amazingly enough it looks pretty close to stock. Don't have any pictures but pretty happy with how it turned out. Just don't get there weather stripping like everyone said it is way to thin to seal properly.

for clarification, I was not trying to say anyone that has or will do this is stupid, just trying to make a point that what appears to be a great idea is a lot more work than most realize when they say they need that, it's relatively inexpensive and it shouldn't be that hard to install.

Wow... this makes me cringe as I'm in the process of putting together a kit (probably will be CCOT) to fit a Troopy....

Flippin_Cruiser, if you feel up to it, feel free to give any hints you may have
(and pics)
Thanks
