drain hose

twice I have notice a pool of water under the front pass. side of my truck.
I finally got down and checked it. It isnt anti-freeze, but just plain old water, dripping from a small hose, that exits out of the firewall on the passenger side, about a foot down.
Obviously, this drain is there for a reason, and i DO NOT have a leak, but whats it for?

Have you an air conditioner? If so, maybe its the condensation drain tube. That's about the only device on a car that would produce plain water.

You have drains so water does not get trapped in your truck. AC drain is one, water/rain that falls into your vents (at the base of the windshield) also needs to go somewhere...

Likely A/C. See if it stops this winter.
