anybody know of some normal ball style drag link ends that match the 60 taper? i just put hi steer on and want a custom rod made, but i need to know what ends to make it to and the ends that are on there oem get into the tire without wheel spacers.

I know a buddy of mine runs a hiem joints as tie rod ends....and those are beeeeef. He runs 39.5 SSt's on his 45. You could just order two beefy ones and take them to the shop to match the thread, and get the drag link taped..

Did you go SOA on us? huh lemon? did ya? did ya?

The taper is actually the same as most other cars/trucks. The difference is in the major and minor diameter.

Heims are a good/Bad thing. They are nice and super easy (weld in bungs and some tubing). But are not nearly as safe (typically mounted in single shear) and can wear out quickly.

On a principaly trail rig I would not mind heims (although I have rod ends on my rig) but on a truck that sees a lot of street miles I would prefer rod ends..

no on the soa...but with five inches of lift, bump steer was nasty. no on heims also...this is a daily driver...don't want to risk it or deal with legality issues...it's bad enough i'm running a 40 tie rod with cut down beer can shreds to shim it on the taper :D
