Has anyone used this rear bumper in conjunction with a receiver hitch?

My friend has this bumper on his 99 Tacoma. It does not have a reciever hitch option. He hates the bumper(came with the truck when he bought it)and plans to switch it out with one that is not as flush
with the tailgat and offers more protection in the event he were rear ended.

Does he want to sell it? I'll ship him my gray OEM bumper and some cash.

I'll ask him! BTW,has anybody bought a rear bumper from Front Range Offroad? They have for sale a nice looking rear bumper for Tacomas up to 03. I'm interested in.

I got mine from All Pro. I am quite happy with it. It was a toss-up between theirs and Marlin's (which is pretty similar). It has a hitch built in but it isn't for heavy pulling. I have no problems with my utility trailer on it.

Looks simple enough to make...
Can you build it yourself?

Its pretty sweet looking!

I would if I had a f-ing garage. All my tools are packed into a small shed behind my house. Real estate is too much here. 285k for a 740sq ft 1 bedroom home built in 1910, street parking, oh and the shed!

Yeah, I guess that makes life a little easier if you have a work place...
You should move here (Reno, NV).

Damn! I thought my old house was small! 950 sqft. But it at least had a decent 2-car garage I could work in. The new place is 2x but the garage is small. I am hoping to get something built this summer.

I could build something at work but they are kind of ?? about that right now.
