Double notifications

I've been getting double email notifications of new posts to subscribed threads today. I've actually been getting doubles occasionally here and there since the last major upgrade, maybe 5% of the time, but today I'm getting them every time consistently...

doesn't bother me that much, but it ain't helping the bandwidth budget any...

budgets for bandwidth are overrated...

I'll check into any oddities, but haven't noticed anything....my one sub has been notifying me normally....

For the last 24 hours it's been intermittent. I'm getting about 50% double notifications and 50% single.

Separate issue, no big deal: TUT - I have to manually unsubscribe and resubscribe every two days or TUT notifications stop. Not a big deal, just FYI...

strange...I've run a handful of DB cleanup queries, and can't find any issues...haven't seen any oddities reported on vB either....

OK, today I got a couple triples!!

Also some doubles and some singles

since none of this happens to me, I can't duplicate it....

thus far, no answers.....IIRC, someone sometime ended up unsubbing from everything and starting their list over, and that magically cured it.

I have no other answers.

Nah, I got too many subscriptions to redo from scratch - that's how I keep track of old tech stuff I want to look up later. I'll just live with it.

Jut now I tried unsubbing and resubbing the threads that were sending me doubles. So far getting singles from those...whatever, I guess I'll stop worrying about it since you're not worried!

Morning report: had about 20 notifications waiting for me this am, all single except for the "last beer on earth" thread, which I will now unsub and resub to see what happens...

things have settled down a bit, I'm getting about 10% doubles, and I just end up unsubbing from those threads, resubbing manually if I need updates, and that usually fixes it...

edited a setting this morning, subscription locking...apparrently, with large forums, it can prevent double-notifications (like you are receiving)

let me know if the issue is "gone"...tkx

OK, I'll let you know. Was getting occasional doubles only since my last post. I'll report any new ones...

For some reason TUT notifications always stop after about a day. No big deal.
