I was wondering if there is any such thing as DOT approved beadlock wheels, where can i find these, and how much?

Thanks,
Logan

Not sure of which ones but there are a few. IIRC the Walker Evans are, I think the TR's are. The DOT ones are gonna get you in the wallet tho.

staun internals as well....

DOT only makes standards, it does not "approve" anything.

The DOT stamps on wheels just say that the MFG of the wheeld believes that they follow the DOT guidelines.

Cheapest option is most likely the Stauns..

I have a set of WE 17" x 9" beadlocks - don't recollect anything ever stating that they met any DOT standards. FWIW - they're damn nice - but note that they're now made in China - nothing wrong with that, I just have preference for supporting American if possible.

I read an article several months ago about Centerline coming out with something - heck - here's a link I googled. Looks damn expensive: 4X4 Bead Lock Wheels Center Line Ice Photo

Truly sad to hear that the Walkers are made in China. I think I'll ask him about that at the KOH race.

Oh man - please do. I got them almost 2 years ago and even the folks I ordered them thru thought they were made in the USA. They were shocked when I e-mailed back that the boxes said made in China. I was kinda ticked off - thinking you save money making stuff overseas, you pass the savings on. That's not the point - I have some stuff that's cheaper due to being from China, but whenever possible I'll pay extra to support a small business or American Engineering/Manufacturing (last example my Orion HD thru Georg). Maybe I just need to get with the NWO.

Your right on the money buddy, I will spend extra to support a mud vendor and Canuck and US made products.
