Hi guys, I usually hang out on the 40 forum, but I'm having my very first problem on my 2001 3rd Gen 4runner, so I thought I'd see if the mud crew had any insight. 3.4, 4x4, Limited, power everything. My key fob stopped working for locking only and I realized the door switches won't lock the doors either. I have to actually manually lock all the doors when I park- the horror! Do y'all think it's some kind of solenoid? This has been an amazing family vehicle, it gets 22MPG on road trips! Thanks for your help.:)

So none of the pwr door lock switches on any door will lock that door? For example - if you try to lock the passenger door with the switch on the armrest, it does nothing? Does it click? But once they are all locked, you can unlock them with the switch?

Weird ...

Correct- no switch nor the key fob will lock the doors and no click whatsoever. All the unlocking switches and key fob button work.

I wonder if somehow the computer thinks a door is open, or if the ignition switch is in a state and thus it won't accept a lock signal.

Or maybe something more simple like a bad door lock relay or fuse.
