My winch was only working sporadically. I spent tons of time troubleshooting my wiring, solenoids, and the connector. Finally determined it must be the trigger/rocker switch. I opened it up and installed a new switch. Works like new. The switch was $6 at Fry's Electronics.

Can't believe I almost spent $60 on a new trigger when all I needed to do was replace the switch itself. Just a tip for future searchers.
