Anyone know where to pick up a used dome assembly? I'm replacing a rattling overhead DVD player. I know where to buy a new one, but looking for used. I posted in the classifieds months ago with no luck. Thanks.

After a year, I finally broke down and bought a new one at the dealer. Search eBay for lx470 some lights. I saw a few, but never the right color. If you do buy new, be sure to order the screws also. I had trouble finding any that worked at the hardware store, had to go back to the dealer a week later.

I hope the hole cut in your headliner to fit the DVD player is smaller than mine. I have to replace the headliner or come up with some sort of patch.

Thanks. Did you have to order multiple parts (baseplate, screws, lens) or did it come together minus the screws you mentioned? Do you remember roughly how much you paid? I would get another overhead DVD but I want a really slim one or non at all. The slim monitors are close to a $1k which is ridiculous. I really can't stand the rattles that are coming from the DVD circuit board hitting the outside plastic case.

My headliner wasn't cut.

Thanks

I haven't replaced mine yet...still trying to decide what to do about the headliner.

Contact Beno for his 'Mud pricing for the parts. I can't find the PM but I remember the price for the dome assembly was around $80 and the screws were less than a buck each.

The dome lamp assembly came complete( minus the screws). On my truck, the Wiring harness had been cut, so I had to use butt connectors to splice into the new lamp ( cutting the 3 pin connector on the new lamp, also). The door light doesn't work right now, but I think it's just a matter of going back in and splicing in another wire. Hasn't been a problem with the long summer days.

Does anyone know if the 2006 LX470 and the Landcruiser use the same interior dome light? Thanks.

Funny. I am thinking of doing the same thing, as my overhead monitor for the dvd player is rattling on my truck too. I kept my original light, but I have not removed the monitor to see how much damage was done to my headliner or wiring. The wiring fix would be easy, but the headliner not so much.

Good luck in your search!
