Dome and Cargo Light Help

1989 FJ62. I have searched previous threads without a similar issue. Any help would be appreciated. My main dome light works with all my doors but does not work when set to ON. The rear dome or cargo light does not go on at all for any setting. Fuse is good, bulbs are good. Any insight?

As the forward light works, I would imagine that the switch contacts in the lamp unit may need cleaning.

The rear dome is earthed via one of the mounting screws. An older unit I’ve just replaced showed that over time, multiple unscrewing and reattaching this screw (required for bulb replacement) can lead to the earth becoming dislodged/worn away. I’d suggest looking at that.

Concur with the previous on cleaning the contacts first upon the main dome.

I was able to get the dome light going with some work on the ground. I have ordered OEM cargo light. Thanks!!
