D'Oh Pinched Winch

Hi-

Like a fool I've gone and gotten the cable wrapped oner itself on my Warn. I tried attaching it to my backhoe and giving a good tug bit no. (Prob made it worse with my luck).

What do I try before cutting the cable and going broke replacing? Would heating it up with a torch make sense? Crying? Drinking heavily?

I did try...

take a big screwdriver and push it under the cable(maybe pound with hammer) and try to loosen up the cable and feed it by hand. If that does not work, cut, drink more

I would think hooking it to something like a tree and using the vehicles power to back up would eventually release it?

But whether you get it unstuck or end up cutting it, the cable would probably have to be replaced anyways.
