I can't find much info on this thing cause it doesn't seem like it was ever sold in the US, my car is a GCC car. There are some old forum posts in other forums but they don't provide much more info about it. When I google the part number on ebay other examples do come up, it is 188100-2160 and they do seem to have been sold on other lexuses and toyotas. Maybe it was a dealer option in some countries.
The control module only has denso markings on it no toyota markings. Somebody ripped this system off the car and replaced it with one of those $30 units you can get from amazon but it has now failed and I want to reinstall this denso unit. My problem is they cut off 4 of the wires going into the module, they're probably power, reverse signal and ground but that leaves 1 more wire unaccounted for and even then I don't know which ones go where. There's 2 black, a white and a brown wire if that helps. Maybe there are separate grounds for power and reverse signal?
Alternatively, maybe someone knows of a similar system I can install that isn't so cheap. Thanks
