No personal experience with them, but I know everybody in the 4th gen 4Runner groups that has them rave about them. Light output shots look amazing.

thanks for the info!

3rd gen groups too. If I had that much cash to drop on headlights I would go with them.
if they work as advertised, im considering this instead of light bar + oem headlight replacements.

I definitely think if you have the coin this is definitely the way to go. I know when the opportunity arises for me this is what I’ll do

Yeah OEM headlights would already be what like 5 or 6 hundred dollars

pretty close to that, and a good 50" lightbar (which BX says these are equitable too) is probably 400 or so.

Yeah, but the depo housings they use suck. I would pay for the OEM housings over depo. Especially for relatively expensive conversions.
whats wrong with depo housings?

I'm running Depos in mine (replaced just before I bought it) and they have been fine and look great. Time will tell how they hold up - they are probably no more than 1.5 years old. I would, however, love a set of the BXBuilt lights - but would rather put the $1,100 towards a rear locker :). Auxito LED's have been a pretty good, cheap upgrade for mine, but they don't quite have the cleanliness in the beams compared to a real LED projector (there are a few lighter/darker spots).

thanks for the info! Yea a locker would be cool, but for what im doing its probably not necessary.

I had Kustom54Lighting make me a set of retrofits for my 2nd Gen Tacoma using Depos. They started peeling and fading in about a year. Personally, I would recommend buying OEM as they are not THAT much more.

Yeah, Depos might last a year, might last three, but they won’t last 10-15+ like stock headlights.

I had Depo's on my M3. They were trash. Ebay/Chinesium quality lenses and plastic tabs. The plastic on the housing and lenses was very thin and started showing putting from rock chips within a year. OEM are the only way to go if you want something that will last a few years!

What do you mean by “last”?

I’m doing depos in my 100 LC soon with the Bxbuild LED retrofit… supposedly it’s plug and play with no cutting etc, just remove lens and thread in the projectors. We’ll see how it goes

From what I’ve read online, the general consensus is the depos will fade and get cloudy much faster than oem.

That being said, I still opted for depos and had a shop lamin x them while the truck was getting all the windows tinted. Figure that should help delay the yellowing.

I run the BXbuilt fog lights on my 07. They are incredibly bright. Brighter than my HID headlights.

They yellow, go cloudy, and leak faster than OEM housings.
