so after chasing a heap of oil leaks on my KZJ78 which were
oil return-replaced
auto trans-reseal sump
engine-reseal sump
diff head-new pinion seal
rip out all that sponge crap inside bell housing and managed to get the oil leaks down to about 3 drops per hour when warm
still really annoying as it blows back all over the bottom of the vehicle making is really ass to work on getting covered in oily crap every time
I did the most hated despised thing I always read about and used some wynns engine stop leak to seal up rear main seal
I have since done two oil changes since adding this dodgy engine glue and still no leaks at all, not one, nice and dry, no signs of sludge or anything,certainly beats pulling trans out to do this properly(which I will do in the near future) but hey it worked for me and only took 5 mins to poor this dodge repair into the engine
Just putting it out there, no more excuses for me not to visit the rich city folk friends with there nice flash concrete driveways to drop my oil silk over now-
