I installed a Dobinsons IMS 3" lift about a year and a half ago on my '16 GX460. It is in the shop for brakes and I got a call that one of them is leaking pretty badly. Less than 10k road miles, very limited offroad use. This fall was when I planned to take it out a lot.
Performance wise I've been mostly happy with them, but they are stiffer than I'd like with stock weight springs.
I started the warranty process but this is a real bummer. I've never spent this much on shocks and to be leaking this early is a concern. I'm sure Dobinsons will take care of me when it comes to a replacement (after I jump through a bunch of hoops), but It is wayyyy too hot to re-install it myself, and I'm out the cost of alignment no matter what. Spending $3-400 to fix a manufacturing defect puts me in a bad mood. Not to mention, how likely is it that one of the other corners starts leaking as well?
Is this a common problem?
