I'm going to preform a cleaning of the intake manifold like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIijYgvxW0g for my LJ78. Now, my question is when I perform this cleaning is it necessary to put a new gasket for the intake manifold or can I still used the old one?

In an ideal world, yes its best to use a new one. But I have reused the steel gaskets with no issues, depends on what it looks like when you pull it off... And put it back on in the same orientation.

If its a steel gasket can't it just be cleaned and put back on because my 1990 lj78 only has 134 KM on it?
